As part of the BNO packaging awards I was challenged to design a new ecological laundry detergent range for Albert Heijn.
This entry won 2nd prize at the Dutch Design week*
The route involved a minimalistic graphical code to help customers identify exactly what they need in the cluttered, noisy shelf of the supermarket.
The packaging features symbols which navigate shoppers to the correct powder or detergent and also features correct practise tips on how to wash ecologically on the back.
Only 3 printing colours are used in the packaging to help reduce the environmental footprint and production costs. All outer packaging is 100% recyclable and the inner lining breaks down in hot water to make it fully disposable.
